This qualification provides a practical introduction to the horticulture sector to support engagement, participation, achievement and progression for learners at Entry Level and Level 1. It offers important industry insight to help learners to make informed career decisions. They will develop generic employability skills, prepare for further training within this occupational area.

Students will study:

• Prepare ground for sowing or planting under supervision.
• Clearing horticulture and landscape sites.
• Sowing, planting, maintenance of grass and all equipment, identify pests and diseases.
• Overall - gain work-related skills in the area of horticulture.
